We offer a refund guarantee. How much you get back depends on your nationality and the reason (refusal or a missed timeline).If your visa is refused
- For applicants from fee-free nationalities: if your visa is refused, you receive a full refund — no paperwork required.
- For nationalities that must pay a visa fee: due to Sri Lanka Department of Immigration policy, refusals are non-refundable.
If we miss the promised timeline
- For fee-free nationalities: if we do not issue your ETA within the promised timeline, you receive a full refund.
- For nationalities that must pay a visa fee: if we miss the promised timeline, you receive a $30 partial refund.
The refund guarantee does not cover applications refused because of details you entered incorrectly. Once an application is submitted and paid for it enters processing and cannot be cancelled or changed, so please check your details carefully before confirming.
How to avoid mistakes
- Before submitting, carefully check that your name, passport number, date of birth and arrival date match your passport.
- Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining, or the visa may be refused.
- If you're unsure whether your details are correct, email service@eta.lk first.
